The classic Bergere chair, what can we say, when a chair has been reproduced for over 350 years.... it's good design. These bergere chairs have solid maple frame with a coil springs, 8 way hand tied, quality contruction. Fabric is orignal, and in excellent condition. These chairs are very expensive new.... so worth re-upholstering if you want a different look. Cushions are down wrapped foam... very, very comfortable.
This authentic Quebec pine kitchen table would have graced the center of a farmhouse kitchen, the true workhorse. I imagine the thousands of meals that were prepared on this surface. The drawers are missing, this often happens in tables of this age, drawers disappear or become damaged in the move. Completely intact, with all origional hand truned acorn knobs. This stunner is made of solid first growth walnut, circa 1870, Ontario. All drawers open and close beautifully. Made in Belgium, circa 1920, this dining set has been lovingly cared for. The dining table has a magnifient basketweave inlay top, stunning cabriole legs, and carved apron. The table seats 4 compact, and extends to seat 8 comfortably and a cozy 10. The 6 chairs are in exceptional condition, with upholstered seats that can be easily customized to your decor. Table measures 39" wide, 60" long, each leaf is 21" long.... total length of table fully extended 82".
This will be the second time I have sold this chair... acquired orignially from a local theatre company, the chair had been painted green!! I spent hours painstakingly restoring the leather. I recently purchased it back... the owner was moving. This chair is so full of character.
This fir cabinet has unique side shelving... utilizing the empty space of where it was built into the side walls. Beautifull arched panelled front doors give this piece a strong design element. Measures 53" wide, 16 1/2" deep, and 44" high.
The deco chair, circa 1920, was a complete redo... all woodwork has been fully restored with a hand rubbed oil finish. Upholstery is 100% cotton "Quill" made in Belgium. The wood frame is mahogany, coil sprung base, and hand nail leather detail finishing. A must see, a true one of a kind.
These stunning fruitwood armchairs were custom upholstered by the previous owner in the last 10 years.... Perfection! Made in France, circa 1920.... they were orginally black lacquered and refinished at the time they were re-upholstered.... beyond elegant and a very rare find for us.
A French Bureau Plat, made in France, circa 1880, done in the Louis XV Style. The beautiful rosewood is complimented by the black leather insert on the desk top. The ormolu decors all 4 sides with figural mounts on all 4 corners of the cabriole legs. The desk front has 2 working drawers, while the back has 2 decorative drawer fronts, making this desk stunning from all angles. Thispiece has been lovingly cared for over the years.
